NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING (NDT)

Non Destructive Testing (NDT) is the branch of engineering concerned with all methods of detecting and evaluating flaws in materials, without affecting its physical properties. Flaws can affect the serviceability of a material or structure. So, NDT is important in quality control, assessing plant life, and thereby guaranteeing safe operations. Flaws may be cracks or inclusions in welds and castings, or variations in structural properties that can lead to loss of strength or failure in service. The essential feature of NDT is that the test process itself produces no deleterious effects on the material or structure under test.

Whilst AMCO specializes in Advanced NDT services we recognize that sometimes Conventional NDT methods provide the most efficient and cost effective solution in the right circumstances. Contact AMCO today and we will be happy to discuss your options in detail, and make recommendations that are appropriate to your needs.

The Conventional NDT techniques AMCOs provides include:

• Ultrasonic Testing
• Penetrant Testing
• Magnetic Particle Testing
